Strengthening the body from the inside out
Class Policy and Procedures
Progressive Pilates with Sue is committed to providing a high-quality service to all class members. Classes are of mixed ability, so progressions from the easiest to the more challenging exercises are offered. If a class member has specific needs/injury, then it advised to seek proper medical intervention prior starting or continuing. Sue will give modification to exercises where possible or the class member may have to sit the exercise out.
Cancellation by a class member
It is recognised that on occasion members will be booked onto a session and subsequently find that they are unable to attend. If you need to cancel your session, please message Sue prior to the class.
If you wish to ‘make up’ the class you are unable to attend, you can book yourself in for a catch-up class at any of the other classes that Progressive Pilates with Sue runs during the week. All these classes are listed on the website. You have the whole of that term to catch up on any missed sessions, meaning you will attend 2 classes in one week.
All missed sessions must be made up during the term that you are booked onto and cannot be carried over to the following term.
Holidays taken during a term by a class member.
If a class member has a holiday booked for longer than 3 weeks and is unable to make up those session during the term, then a deduction of the cost of one week will be given. Alternatively, the missed session can be carried over to the following term.
Cancellation by Sue at Progressive Pilates.
Any sessions already paid for but subsequently cancelled by me, the Pilates session will be carried over and a catch-up alternative will be offered. If in the event that a catch-up alternative is not possible, I will ensure that the fee for the session cancelled is refunded to your account or carried over to the following term.
In the event of adverse weather conditions making it too dangerous for myself and you as a class member to drive to the venue, then please check your emails that morning to find out whether the class will run at the venue, or whether it will take place live on Zoom instead. This is so there will be no confusion where the class will take place and so you don't miss out on your class that week due to the weather conditions.
Sue at Progressive Pilates reserves the right to modify or cancel a lesson if unforeseen circumstances arise but will endeavour to avoid doing so.
Medical Screening/Physical Readiness Questionnaire
An enrolment Medical Screening/PARQ health form should be completed before your starting date in which you will be asked to disclose any pre-existing medical conditions. Please advise Sue at Progressive Pilates of any changes to your health that may affect your ability to exercise.
Mobile phones
Please ensure that your mobile phones are switched off or on silent during a class so as not to disturb the session. If, however, you are expecting an urgent phone call, please feel free to leave your mobile on but do let the teacher know at the beginning of the session.
Punctuality
I understand that we all can run late from time to time, and traffic can be unpredictable, however, were possible, please aim to arrive to class on time so not to disturb others during the relaxation section at the beginning of the class. If it can't be helped, and you are running late, please sneak in as quietly as possible.
Duration of a term
There are three terms in a year, running in line with school term dates, however, the dates may vary, and breaks may occur during term time. There are between 12 and 14 weeks per term depending on the time of year.
Hall classes
No halls classes will run during the month of August; however, an Online Live class schedule will take place during that time to enable class members to keep up with their practice. This will be charged separately to the cost of the term dates.
Progressive Pilates with Sue reserves the right to increase its fees at any time but will give at least 4 weeks’ notice of any changes.
Summer Specials classes:
Depending on members interest, Sue at Progressive Pilates will endeavour to run a summer series of Online classes during the month of August. These sessions will be completely separate from the term time classes.
